Darren Borstmayer
Director of Operational Efficiencies
As Director of Operational Efficiencies, Darren utilizes his 30+ years of experience in manufacturing and design to assist Igloo’s clients in identifying and implementing productivity optimization strategies.
Prior to joining Igloo, Darren acted as the Director of Plant Design and Integration for Brandt Industries, headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan. In this role, he was responsible for the design of production processes, selection and commissioning of production equipment, and oversight of product routings, standard times, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Darren spent much of his career with a Saskatchewan-based global manufacturer of technologically advanced agricultural equipment, starting in design, and later moving into manufacturing and corporate leadership.
Darren grew up on a farm in North East Saskatchewan and has been active in farming his entire life. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering. Darren is a hands-on doer who likes to drive initiatives forward and is willing to get in and get his hands dirty whenever required. As an engineer, Darren is a very analytical and capable problem solver with extensive experience in supervision and leadership.
Darren and his wife Wendy reside in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. They enjoy traveling and the many outdoor activities Saskatchewan has to offer.
Darren is a Professional Engineer Licenced under the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.
